Block Island Bottom – Cod/Sea Bass/Blackfish – Viking Fivestar
Capt Steven Jr. reports that we put together another good day of bottom fishing on the Viking Fivestar. The sea bass are back to chewing their heads off after last weeks ground swell that slowed the bite down. Black fishing got a bit better too, around Block we’re seeing a bunch more keepers then we have been. The cod fish remain far and few in between, only seeing a couple keepers and a handful of shorts. But the sea bass fishing sent everyone home with a load of fillets.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Starship.  It was a great day of porgy fishing with plenty of fish caught.  We moved around looking for sea bass, once we found them there was lots of action.  We picked through the small fish and caught a couple quality fish.  We had one cod and a handful of bluefish caught today.  Joseph Soto of the Bronx, was the first place pool winner today with a 3lb porgy.  The edible pool winner was Wayne Brathwaite of Brooklyn, NY 8lb cod.
