Rusty Belly – Viking Fivestar
Capt Steven Sr reports we put together a good day considering the rough conditions with a strong westerly wind. Our first few drops were a pick, but our last drop was very good with a couple fish from 7-10 lbs with everyone getting their limit. We were only able to make one drop on a wreck the way home due to rough conditions and caught a handful of sea bass, a couple of cod and some weakfish.

Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Limited Passenger
Capt Steven Sr reports a fine day of fishing aboard the Viking Star.  The super moon definitely effected the fishing today. The sea bass bite was all right with large to jumbo fish caught.  A variety of fish were brought over the rails today including cod, sea bass, bluefish, weakfish, silver hake, ling, porgies, pinfish, pollack and even a fluke that we threw back.  The moon has gotten everything fired up, tide included.  Today’s pool winner for was Bruce Wahl of Greenport with a 7.2lb sea bass.  The second place pool winner was Martin Wellen Dowd of New York City with a 13.6lb cod.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports another great day of fishing on the Viking Starship.  The porgy fishing was good with fairly large fish caught.  We moved around and did some searching for sea bass and eventually found them.  The bite was steady with quality sized fish and a about a dozen cod fish mixed in.  Fun was had by all aboard today.  The first place pool winner was Mep of the Philippines from Bergenfield, NJ with a 3lb porgy.  The edible pool winner was Lou Shi of Queens with a 12lb cod.
