Ultra Mega Deep “FATHOMS” (5/31-6/3)
Capt Steven Sr reports a slow trip on the Viking Star.  The morning of day one started out slow and improved by the afternoon with tile, wreckfish, barrell fish and hake caught  Day two started out with big tiles, some hake and red fish; by the afternoon the fishing slowed down and so did the drift.  Unfortunately, on day three we had no drift and no direct bite.  We saw lots of tuna, so bring your trolling tackle, if you have it!! The first place tile fish pool winner was Jason Kudo of Brooklyn, NY with a 48lb tile.  The second place pool winner was Fred Schneider of Huntington with a 42lb tile.  The edible pool winner was Brad Bergen of East Islip, NY with a 27lb wreckfish.
