Night Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports a rough night of bass fishing with choppy wind vs tide conditions but we did manage some nice bass. The daytime was slow with just a few blues and giant scup taken on jigs, then once it got dark we had one great drift with half a dozen big quality bass in the 25-35 lb class, but after that things went quiet again with just 2 more Bass taken for the night. Marty “Wellen” Dowd took first place with a 36 lb striped bass, and Blake Derossi from East Hampton, NY took second with a 32 pounder. We are looking forward to next weekends Full Moon trips, sailing Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and a special trip Sunday night as well as fishing the July Full Moon rarely disappoints!!
