Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a slow pick on the Viking Starship. The fish were a bit off the bite today, so we had to try a few spots. We would get a nice shot on each spot, but it would die out after about an hour. We did have mostly large Porgies and fewer than usual SeaBass. Towards the end of the trip we tried a wreck and found quality SeaBass and a few Cod. All in all it was a good trip, we just had to work harder at it today. The first place pool winner was Mark Cho from Manhattan with a 4.2 lb Scup. The edible pool winner was Vaughn Cook from North Babylon, NY with a 9.7 lb Cod.
