Mon May 17 – Tile/Cod Wrecks LTD – Viking Starship

Capt Steven Sr reports a productive trip on the Viking Starship. On the first day Tile fishing was good. We had a lot of quality fish with clean Tiles. The second half of the day we looked for Hake, Barrel, Tiles and other bottom dwellers. By the end of the day all coolers were very happy. On the second day we hit the wrecks for Cod. It was on the slower side. Some guys had 4 to 5, others had 6 to 8. There were a lot of big Bergall’s in the mix along with a bunch of Barrelfish, 4 Monkfish, and more Rosie’s than we have ever seen. The pictures tell the story!! Honorable mention goes to Phil Sr. and Phil Jr. All Phil Jr. wanted for his high school graduation gift was to go Tile fishing on the Viking Starship! Boy, did his wish come true. What a great experience for his first time Tile fishing.
