Mon Sept 12 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing on a first day fishing Block Island on the Viking Starship. Going into the island blind we checked out as many spots as we could, getting a lay of where the fish were. Every drop had fish, mostly medium sized Porgies and a few large. There was SeaBass everywhere, most fishing was inshore. We did head out into the deeper water and got into a really nice Porgy pile with bigger sized SeaBass and a handful of Cod. The first place pool winner went to Martin Reyes from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. We will be sailing tomorrow morning again for the Block Island Porgy & SeaBass, don’t miss out. a man holding a fish in the water a man standing next to a body of water a man and a woman standing on a boat in the water a person holding a fish in the water a man holding a fish in the water a person standing on a boat in the water
