Tues Sept 13 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a stupendous day of fishing over in Block Island on the Viking Starship. We bounced around to a few spots and had lots of luck with medium sized Porgies and keeper SeaBass. Once we made our way out to the deeper water – about 100ft- we got into some really excellent fishing. The size of both species increased, we had bigger SeaBass and large to jumbo Porgies. Ending the day we had 8 Cod on the boat and half a dozen keeper Fluke. The first place pool winner went to Roland Martin from Atlantic city, NJ with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Keith Watson from Freeport, NY with an 8 lb Cod beating out a 4lb Fluke. We are definitely sailing again tomorrow with a light crowd so come on down for the Hot Bite!!  a person holding a fish a person holding a fish on a boat in a body of water a man holding a fish a man holding a fish in the water
