Tues Oct 11 to Thurs Oct 13- 60 Hour Tuna/Mahi LTD

Capt JR reports another stellar trip on the Viking Star! We arrived at the grounds in the late afternoon and immediately started catching big beautiful Yellow Fin Tuna. The anglers using bait and ones using jigs all boated Yellow Fins in the 60-80lb class. We also had a few very large Long Fin Tuna in the mix as well. As the sun went down the bite heated up even more until around 9pm when it cooled down to a steady pick for the rest of the night.

Sunrise on Wednesday brought even more lock and load fishing with the same large yellow fin tuna bending rods from bow to stern. By 9am we had our limit of yellow fins plus a good catch of long fins to top off our boxes and finish off another slammer trip. Our Yellow Fin Tuna pool winner went to Ramon Remayo from the Bronx with a 75 pounder!! The pool winner for the Albacore Tuna went to Brian Martin from Valley Stream, NY with a 68 lb fish!!
