Sat Oct 15 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports slow ish fishing, but not terrible on the Viking Star. Porgies were a bit off the bite, but Sea Bass were good everywhere. We anchored up pretty much everywhere we went. There were a lot of smaller Sea Bass, but there were nice size ones mixed in. There were over a dozen Cod and one keeper Striped Bass. The mackerels were still around being a nuisance. The first place pool winner was Ian Ralph from Bronx, NY with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Erik Tenas from Virginia with an 8 lb Striped Bass. We will be sailing tomorrow on the Viking Star at 5am.
