Fri Nov 11 – Blackfish & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports an excellent day of fishing today on the Viking Star. We headed out to SeaBass grounds first thing this morning where we had some excellent fishing with Knothead Sea Biscuits all around the boat. A few Cod came up around here as well. Everyone easily got their limit before we headed inshore to the Black fish zone. The Black fish bite was definitely a little better today than it had been the last couple trips. Everyone ended up with some nice keepers. An added bonus was a very nice showing of Cod fish on our last drop to top off the catch. The Black fish pool winner went to Tony Ho from Flushing, NY with a 9 lb fish. The SeaBass pool winner went to Beris Nembhard from the Bronx, NY with a jumbo 5.5 lb fish. We will not be sailing on the Blackfish and SeaBass trip on the Star tomorrow (Saturday, November 12th) due to poor weather conditions, but will be going out again Sunday, November 13th.
