Sun July 23 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass

Capt J.R. reports another successful day of fishing the waters of Block Island aboard the Viking Starlite. We started off the morning hot and heavy with keeper Fluke coming up immediately with the occasional knot head SeaBass not far behind. That continued through most of the morning with a 5-6 lb Fluke being a common sight. Conditions got a little tough later in the trip but we maintained a pick of Fluke and SeaBass all trip. Several anglers easily had their limit of Fluke with an easy boat limit of sea bass to round out the catch. Definitely not a bad day! The first place pool winner went to Michael Bunch from Flanders with a 6.5 lb Fluke. The SeaBass pool winner went to Michael Dext with a 3 lb SeaBass. Fishing was so good, we will be adding another 6am Full Day Block Island Fluke & SeaBass trip to the schedule for Sunday, July 30th! This is a limited passenger trip so make sure to make your reservations ahead of time to secure your spot!a person holding a fish in the water a person holding a fish in the water a man holding a fish in the water a close up of a fish a group of fish in the water
