Back to Viking Fleet Fishing Reports

Fri July 28- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt J.R reports a slow morning on the Viking Star as the sea conditions in our usual haunts weren’t very conducive to fishing. We retreated back to some calmer waters but were very happy to find lots of action. We had a steady pick of fluke with a decent KEEPER to short size ratio all trip. A few nice sea bass and porgies also came over the rail to sweeten the catch. Our last drift we also scooped up a very nice 7lb fluke to end the trip on a high note. The pool winner this morning was Brenden Farrell from Springs, NY with an 8.2 lb Fluke.a man holding a fish a person holding a fish a person standing next to a body of water a man holding a fish in the water a man holding a fish
