Thur Oct 26 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Conditions were similar to yesterday so we started off our morning inshore and drifted with the tide with lots of bites. We milled our way through lots of little fish, mostly SeaBass, but had a nice little shot of decent sized Porgies. When conditions bettered, we worked our way offshore where we got into some bigger SeaBass and Porgies, along with some Mackerell. The first prize pool winner went to Myfit Sheqi from Queens with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy. The second prize pool winner went to Ben Augng from City Island with a 3 1/2 lb SeaBass.  We are sailing tomorrow at 5AM, the weather looks great! The office opens at 4am for ticket sales. There is plenty of room so come on out!
