Fri Oct 27 – Blackfish & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports another solid day of sea bass fishing on the Viking Star. We tried some new areas and found lots of hungry XL Sea Bass waiting for us. There were also a few Cod in the mix to spice up the drops. Blackfishing today was definitely a huge improvement overall with lots of life and solid keepers coming up to 8-9lbs. It definitely seems like the fall fishing is gearing up and will only continue to improve. Brian Khan from New York won both pools with a 6 lb Blackfish and a 4 lb Sea Bass.
