Mon Oct 30 – Block Island Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started off hiding around the island this morning to escape some of the windy and rough conditions, but had ourselves a great pick. We had a lot of action around there with large and jumbo Porgies, big Blue fish, and even 3-4 keeper Striped Bass. When the wind laid out we worked our way offshore and had a great pick of SeaBass, mostly large sized and few jumbos, along with some more Porgies. We did not have a pool on the boat today, however the largest porgies were around 3 lbs. We will definitely be sailing again tomorrow at 5 am for our Block Island Porgies and SeaBass on the Starship as well as our Coxes Ledge Cod and SeaBass on the Star. The ticket office will be open at 4am.
