Sun Sept 10- Whale Watching
Another amazing 3 species trip, with a sideshow of amazing weather front views. Our streak of consecutive cetacean sightings continues. We headed out to escape the extreme heat and to find whales. On our way west, we got to see spectacular cloud formations to our south. We eventually entered an area where we hit…
Tue Sept 12 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We had much better fishing than we have been seeing. We tried out the deeper water closer to Block Island, finding a mixed bag all day with a really great morning drift. When the tide was strong fishing was tough, but all in all it was a good day. We also had a bunch of Fluke with a lot of throw backs, a keeper Striped Bass and Mackerel. The pool winner was Eddy Martinez with a 4 lb Sea Bass.

Capt Dave reports a slower day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. The bite has still been a bit off, with a lot more smaller fish circulating, however, we still managed a decent pick in some of our local spots. Everyone still managed a decent pile of porgies, between medium and large sized, with…

Sat Sept 9 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports okay fishing on the Viking Starship. It took awhile this morning for the Porgies to bite, but we then had a couple of good drifts by the lighthouse with nice size quality fish. We tried for Sea Bass at the end of the trip, but it wasn’t great. There were a lot…
