Wed May 21 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Capt Dave is happy to report fishing was very good for our first day out of Montauk on the Viking Starlite. Pretty much all BIG Porgies. A few 3 pounders, but most were about 2 pounds. It was a lite bite probably due to the weather, but a slow steady pick. We didn’t have anything…

Tue May 20 – Sag Harbor Scup Express

Capt Dave reports an okay day on the Viking Starlite. It was a slow start, but ended up good. We had a bunch of nice Porgies and a few Weakfish. Jose from NYC was the pool winner with a 2 lb Porgy. We would like to thank everybody who joined us for our third year…

Mon May 19 – Sag Harbor Scup Express

Capt Dave reports a slower day on the Viking Starlite. The windy conditions made fishing tough. It was a slow pick of mixed size Porgies with a lot of small ones with a handful of Weakfish. There was not a pool. Tomorrow will be the last day at our Sag Harbor location.

Squid Trip added for Tuesday May 20

Squid Alert! Our first Squid trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21st, but the weather does not look favorable at all, so we are going to sail our first trip TOMORROW, TUESDAY MAY 20th! There has definitely been plenty of Squid around, so now is the time to go and get them! We will sail…

Sun May 18 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Captain Carl reports a rather breezy afternoon for our 1/2 Day trip on the Viking Star. We started off Fluke fishing but the drift was pretty fast and we only managed a few shorts and some Big Black Sea Bass that had to be released. So, we shifted gears and put the diamond jigs on…

Sun May 18 – Sag Harbor Scup Express

Capt. Dave reports a good day of fishing out on the Starlite this morning. We had some mixed size fish, a handful of keeper Weak Fish, and lots and lots of small ones that we picked through. The pool winner was Evaristo from Queens, NY, with a 2 lb Porgy.

Fri May 16 – Sun May 18 – 38Hr Tile/Hake Express

Captain Steven Sr. reports a very eventful offshore fishing trip aboard the Viking Starship! The first day started off with a slow pick, but things quickly turned around as we moved into deeper waters. The action picked up with anglers hauling in impressive catches of giant Blue Line Tilefish—some weighing up to 20.5 lbs—along with…

Sat May 17 – Sunset Jigging Trip

Captain Carl reports a very successful Sunset Jigging trip on the Viking Star! The trip started off slow but, as the sun was setting, the bite turned on! The last half hour was very good fishing with all sizes of Striped Bass! We had some big size fish that were released, a few shorts that…

Sat May 17 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Carl reports some slower action this afternoon. We did still see some short Flukes, and managed to get a couple keeper Fluke onboard… but the action was definitely slower then the morning trip. The pool winner was Alex Freitas from East Providence, RI with a 3.2 lb Fluke.
