Sun May 31 – Montauk Spring Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports another nice day of fishing aboard the Viking Starlite. The porgies were biting, this was probably one of our better days this season, with most anglers going home with pretty full buckets. We started the day in shallow water, but heavy seaweed pushed us into deeper water where we found a good bite and had nice catches.Congratulations to today’s pool winner, Narcisa Pena from Bay Shore, NY, who landed a 2 ½ pound porgy.We will be sailing again tomorrow Monday, June 1st at 5am, check-in will start at 4am, hope to see you aboard!
