Thurs July 23 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports very good fishing on the Viking Starship. We made our first drop east of the lighthouse and the Porgies bit well. They were more mixed size than we saw before the blow. Once the tide started running hard we came inside by the cliffs and had a slow and steady pick of Large and Jumbo Porgies. There were all nice fish there, so we stuck with it and loaded up. We also had only a handful of Sea Bass. The pool winner was Kenneth Price from Queens, NY with a 2.3 lb Porgy.
