Tue Sept 8 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a decent day on the Viking Starship. It was a slow and steady pick down the beach to start the trip. We tried one drop at the lighthouse, but it wasn’t great, so we headed about midway to Block Island. It was very lively there! We had a mixed bag of Porgy and Sea Bass. There were decent size Porgies with some small’s in the mix. We had to pick through a lot of Sea Bass, but we did manage some keepers. The pool winer was Jason Wright with a 2.5 lb Porgy.
