Wed Sept 16 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a better day on the Viking Starship. It was pretty good fishing to start the day with Big Beautiful Porgies and mixed size Sea Bass.  Once it started to flood we headed South of Block Island. We were able to drift out there with a mix of medium Porgies and very nice Sea Bass. It was definitely a slower pick, but not terrible. The first place pool winner was Fredis Umanzor from Brentwood, NY with a 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was an angler from West Hempstead, NY with a 6 lb Green Bonita.
