Sat Sept 19 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt. Dave reports that today’s trip on the Viking Starship got off to a fantastic start with perfect conditions and plenty of action! We enjoyed a 1½-hour drift loaded with hard-fighting, big porgies.

As the tide started ripping, we switched things up and anchored offshore, where the action continued with a steady pick of good-sized porgies and some quality sea bass.

The fish were biting, the conditions were beautiful, and everyone had a great time on the water!

Todays Pool winner was Jerome Coston of Queens, NY with a 2 3/4lb Porgy.

Todays Edible winner is Vish Sanke with a 4lb Trigger Fish.
