Fri Sept 18 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We fished the SW corner of Block Island the entire trip. Conditions were great there. It was an excellent bite for most of the trip with nice size Porgies and a ton of Sea Bass from tiny to tremendous size. After picking through the catch everyone had their Sea Bass limit. It was a pretty great trip and it only got slow the last hour. The first place pool winner was Wayne Braithwaite from Brooklyn, NY with a 3 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Jason Chen from Roslyn Heights, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass.
