Tue Sept 29 to Thurs Oct 1 – 60 Hour Tuna/Mahi LTD

Captain JR reports an excellent trip onboard the mighty Viking Star. Mahi fishing was challenging as there was EXTREME current making pot-hopping almost impossible. But we boated a few throughout the trip.
HOWEVER, the tuna fishing was just about as good as it gets! We caught all sized Yellowfin Tuna while trolling, on jigs, on surfs poppers, a few on bait, and a few freight trains that couldn’t be stopped! We ended with a very nice limit including a few fish in the 80-90 pound range. Hands down an awesome trip!
