Fri Oct 22 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing despite the windy conditions today on the Viking Starship. It was fall fishing at its best with tons of SeaBass and plenty of Porgies mixed in. We also had about a dozen Cod and some Mackerel. The first place pool winner was Fernando Flores from Brooklyn, NY with a Jumbo 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Lloyd Patterson with a 4 lb SeaBass.

Thurs Oct 21 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. The fish are filling in and the Porgies and SeaBass that came up were very nice size. We also had a handful of Cod up to 10 lbs. The first place pool winner was Oliver Cortez from Hagerstown, MD with a Jumbo 4.2 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Shen Jian Lai with an 8 lb Cod.

Sun Oct 17 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Kothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing today considering the weather on the Viking Star. Conditions were a bit rough with the wind, but overall it was a good day of fishing. Anchored up twice and had a steady pick of Porgies and Sea Bass. The size was a good mix on the Sea Bass and the Porgies were mostly large sized with a handful of Cod come up on the boat. The first place pool winner went to Jorge Bautista from Queens, NY with a 2.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Troy Wright from Queens , NY with a 3.3 lb Sea Bass.

Thurs Oct 14 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking starship. There was a good amount of action on the boat. They started the morning inshore close to Block Island where they caught the majority of their Sea Bass for the day. There were some good size Bass coming up and small Porgies. Slowly they worked their way offshore and caught some large sized Porgies in the deep. There were a handful of Cod on the boat and quiet a few Mackerel. Overall good day of fishing.
