Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a slower day of porgies. Everyone had a couple of porgies and a handful of sea bass. We had 40 to 50 cod onboard up to 15 lbs. The pool winner was Local Joey Bloecker with a 2 1/2 lb porgy. We are cancelled tomorrow Thur Dec 15th due to weather.

Block Island Cod/Sea Bass-Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports another good day of fishing today around Block. Things started out slow with a big left over ground swell, turning things up, but by the end of the day we put a nice catch together. Everyone had a load of nice sea bass and we picked at the cod thru the day. We sent everyone home with plenty of fillets!! Block Island Cod and Sea Bass-Viking Fivestar Capt Steven Jr reports another good day of fishing at Block. There were not as many cod as last trip, but we still put a good pile together. We made a couple cod drops to start and found a pick everywhere we went. Then we got off deeper to look for some sea bass and everyone got what they needed in a couple of drops. The weather is going to keep us at the dock again tomorrow.  Tuesday looks like our next chance to get back out. Give the office a call to get on the couple of trips we have room left on! Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a tough day of fishing on the Viking Starship. The poor weather conditions made for a slow pick of porgies and sea bass; about 30 keeper cod were caught.  Today’s first place pool winner was Mario Kakol of New York City with a 2.5lb porgy.  The second place pool winner was Cindy Chan of Queens, NY with a 15lb cod.

We had good porgy and sea bass fishing in the morning with cod mixed in, but the tide changed and we had to go look around. It was a slow pick the rest of the day. The pool winner was Vernon Pollard with a 3 1/2 lb porgy. We also had a monk fish caught today! We are cancelled tomorrow, Friday Dec 9th due to weather.

Block Island Cod and Sea Bass – Viking Fivestar COD COD COD!!! Capt Steven Jr reports Slammer Cod fishing today at Block!! From first to last drop we had quality sized cod everywhere we went! By the end of the day we had around 100 cod giving most guys their limit or close to it of cod and their limit of nice sea bass!! Great to see the quality fish are showing up in numbers and we are looking forward to the winter season! We are adding a Block Island Cod/Sea Bass trip on the schedule for this up coming Monday! Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports another really good day of mixed bag fishing. We were once again on the cod fish bite. Now’s the time to come! As always we are first on the cod!! We had twice as many porgies than yesterday and they were mostly nice sized. We also had nice sea bass with most retaining their limit. Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports a good day of mixed bag fishing. We had limits of porgies and sea bass and about 100 cod. The porgies were a bit on the smaller side with some nice ones mixed in. The pool winner was Hung Lee from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.3 lb porgy.

Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass Capt Dave reports very very rough weather today on the Viking Starship.  However, despite the conditions we still put together a halfway decent catch, we had mixed sized porgies, sea bass and cod (15-20 keepers).  Today’s first place pool winner was Juan Cuautla from Bronx, NY with a 3lb porgy.
