Night Striped Bass Capt Ant reports an excellent fishing trip on our our Sunday Night Special with non stop rod bending action for the first 90 minutes. Blues overtook the bass grounds as we had a slower drift just as the tide started but we picked away at the Stripers through the fray. Those who worked the jigs slowly and kept them close to the bottom were rewarded with Bass with a couple fisherman getting their limit. Unfortunately we lost the light and jigging came to an end. At dark we headed to the where they’ve been stacked the last three nights and found it a barren wasteland so we hit some rocks for some jumbos and were able to land one Moo Cow Linesider of 37lbs. We had many missed bites, even by the sharpies due to the difficult…

Viking FiveStar Tuna We returned yesterday late afternoon from another good trip offshore. The first night was slow with mostly shark bites throughout the night. We landed 1 nice yellow fin in the early morning. The next day on troll we picked up a few albacore and couple mahi. The second night was what made the trip- The first half of the night we battled with more sharks and lost a couple fish close to the boat. In the early morning they started to chew. We had them eating the chum on the surface swimming around the boat and started throwing bait to them. For an hour and a half it was lock and load fishing. All the fish were good sized in the 60-80 lb range. After that it slowed up for us and we started to troll our…

It was not a blood bath but still a good trip to send all the guys home with a handful of yellow fin a few mahi and a mess of northern groupers. We also had a pup sword that we released and another better sword that we pulled the hook on. It was the first trip where we started to see the yellows on the night bite which was nice to see finally. Over all a good trip with a good group of guys ans a lot of laughs. Night Striped Bass Well for the third night in a row there is not much change in the night bite reports Capt. Ant. After making a couple of stops on piles of fish we finally landed on one that had fish biting…unfortunately it was one a drift, every once in a while we’d get 2 and a blue. We had quite a few swings and misses as again the wind against tide made for an unorthodox drift, you really had to let them eat. Congrats to Keith Levinson of Selden with a 27lber that took the pool. 2nd place was Roger Moon from Port Jeff. Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a beautiful day on the water. We had smaller size fish in the mix today along with some sea bass. The Pool winner was William Brunson…
