Viking FiveStar Tuna
We returned yesterday late afternoon from another good trip offshore. The first night was slow with mostly shark bites throughout the night. We landed 1 nice yellow fin in the early morning. The next day on troll we picked up a few albacore and couple mahi. The second night was what made the trip- The first half of the night we battled with more sharks and lost a couple fish close to the boat. In the early morning they started to chew. We had them eating the chum on the surface swimming around the boat and started throwing bait to them. For an hour and a half it was lock and load fishing. All the fish were good sized in the 60-80 lb range. After that it slowed up for us and we started to troll our way home. We picked up another half a dozen albacores before we pulled the lures out. In the end, it was a great trip that got everyone on board to pull on a couple fish and go home with a load of meat. Steven Martinez was the apple bank player of the trip hooking up with 5 yellow fin and jigging up 2 albacore. We have only a couple more open boat trips this month and few open dates for offshore trips this year so call now to get in on the action. Also have some open boat block island bottom fishing trips that have a couple openings. Sundays trip is sold out but there are a couple spots for Wednesday. Call the office for all available dates and booking.
Night Striped Bass
Capt Ant reports a very good night on the Bass grounds.  It would have been excellent if not for the slack tide in the middle of the trip.  We started out with an explosion, then dwindled as the tide dropped and then ended strong again once we started drifting over 2kts on the ebb.  Local author George Jehn tallied 6 keepers to 22lbs, yet lost a slob.  Ray The Machine Davis limited, Whitey limited…quite a few people limited and then there were a few that just couldn’t get the bite or missed it.  Overall we average about 1 fish per customer.  Pool Winners were:Kevin Jensen from New York with a 26.3lbs Second Frank Raspanti from Port Jefferson, NY with a 23.7lbs
Just a reminder tonights trip and tomorrows trip leaves at 6p, catching more flood will hopefully catch more fish We will be sailing Saturday Oct 4th and Sunday Oct 5th  Jigging Am 7 to 12 and Jigging Pm 12.00 to 4:30 pm Saturday Night Bass 6pm to Midnight and Sunday Oct 6 Bass from 5Pm to 10Pm

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing today in Block Island. We had a mix of mostly medium sized porgies, with lots of sea bass up to 5lbs. We also had a bunch of trigger fish, some blues and some cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Artie Blenk Jr of Center Moriches with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Raymond Brown of Westhampton with a 8lb blue fish.
