Sun Aug 13- Montauk Lighthouse Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We switched things up this morning and went offshore to start the off the day with some SeaBass fishing. We had some action with a lot more little fish than keepers, but everyone seemed to have a couple. We then made our way back and finished off our day with a 1 anchor drop to fill everyones bucket with mixed sized Porgies. Porgy fishing was stupendous with back to back double headers bring us home right on time. Our pool winner today went to Roldolfo Guzmon from Bowei, MD with a 2.2 lb. Porgy. We are definitely sailing again tomorrow on the Viking Starship for our 5am Jumbo Porgies and Knothead SeaBass.

Capt Mike reports pretty steady fishing all afternoon on the Viking Star. There were a lot full buckets of Porgies and Sea Bass with a few Fluke mixed in. A lot of kids catching fish! he pool winner was Jan Kupfer from Munich, Germany with a 4 lb Fluke.

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. The trip started out with smaller Porgies, so we got out of the tide and went down the beach for awhile. When the tide was right we went back to the lighthouse and found nice size Porgies there. We went for Sea Bass close to Block Island and found a lot of small ones, but everyone managed a few keepers. There were also a couple of keeper Fluke and a bunch of Mackerel. The first place pool winner was Derrek H. with 2.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was George H. from Bronx, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass.

Capt Mike reports a great mixed bag morning. We had Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass and the Fluke where biting too. Double digit keepers in the buckets! Fantastic morning on the water!! The pool winner was Christian Raio from Northport, NY with a 4/5 lb Fluke.

Capt Mike reports a great afternoon on the Viking Star. Families and fish was the theme today! We had a good jumbo Sea Bass and Porgies today. A lot of full buckets. A few keeper Fluke as well. It was a nice day on the water after last nights storm.

Fri Aug 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. It was a regular bail job out there today with double header Porgies left and right, everyone had their limit in no time, making it back to the dock a little earlier than usual. The SeaBass were biting pretty good today with some nice sizes to fill everyones buckets, as well as a few Mackerell and even some Blue fish. The pool winner today was Antonio Borges from New Jersey with a 2 1/2 lb. Porgy. We are definitely sailing again tomorrow morning at 5am on our Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and SeaBass.

Thur Aug 10 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started our more with one Porgy drift that lasted close to 5-hours with nonstop Porgy action, we had Porgies of every size medium, large, and jumbo’s with a very little amount of throwbacks. We then worked our way into the SeaBass grounds and too our delight found large SeaBass, Fluke, and Mackerell. This was probably one of our best days with keeper Fluke this year with a little over 15 Keepers. The SeaBass bite was definitely hot today with everyone having their limit of nice size SeaBass. The pool winner this morning went to Danny Ko from Queens with a 2.8 lb. Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Mr. Lee with a 7 lb. Fluke! We are sailing again tomorrow (Friday, August 11th) at 5 am…
