Fishing Reports

Capt. Dave reports a good trip with decent Porgies and some nice Seabass. The Porgies we caught were a good size and easy to find but, the Seabass were a little picky and we had to search around a bit to get them. We had some Cod on the boat today the largest weighing 10 lbs. The pool winner was John Derrieco from Montauk, NY, with a 2.7 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Juan Correo from Con Fueras, with a 10 lb Cod Fish.

Capt. Dave reports that we had fantastic fishing today on this beautiful day. We landed lots of fish especially Jumbo Seabass up to about 4lbs. The Porgy fishing was also great with most of the fish caught were on the larger size. We also landed about 10 Cod. Axel Nenoic of Corona Queens was the winner of today’s Porgy pool with a 3.5lber. William Young from New York City took today’s edible pool with a 12lb Codfish. We are sailing daily at 5am for Jumbo Porgies and Seabass.

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing despite the windy conditions today on the Viking Starship. It was fall fishing at its best with tons of SeaBass and plenty of Porgies mixed in. We also had about a dozen Cod and some Mackerel. The first place pool winner was Fernando Flores from Brooklyn, NY with a Jumbo 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Lloyd Patterson with a 4 lb SeaBass.

Capt Dave reports good fishing today considering the weather on the Viking Star. Conditions were a bit rough with the wind, but overall it was a good day of fishing. Anchored up twice and had a steady pick of Porgies and Sea Bass. The size was a good mix on the Sea Bass and the Porgies were mostly large sized with a handful of Cod come up on the boat.
