Thurs Nov 19 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship with nice weather and nice people! On our first stop we loaded up on SeaBass that were plentiful. We also had about a 1/2 dozen Cod on that drop. We ended the day with double and triple header Porgies with a handful of SeaBass mixed in. We only had one pool today with Carlos Vitro from Atlantic City, NJ the winner with an 2.8 lb Porgy. We are CANCELLED for all trips tomorrow.

Thurs Nov 19 – Block Island SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports that we were able to put together a great day of fishing before the wind started and sent everyone home with a nice pile of fish. Togging was a steady pick all morning with a few Seabass and a couple Cod in the mix. Later in the day we took a little ride and loaded up on nice Seabass to wrap up the day. We have added 30-50 mile Wreck Trips to the schedule on Wednesday’s in December. These trips sell out fast so call and book now before it’s too late! (631)668-5700

Wed Nov 18 – Ultra LTD Blackfish and Sea Bass

Capt JR reports that we had an excellent day of CATCHING!! Hot Tog bite in the morning got us our boat limit of Blackfish with tons of action all around the boat. We headed a little offshore for some Knothead Sea Bass action before going home. We also had some nice Cod in the mix to sweeten the catch. Today’s Blackfish pool was won by Donald Thomas of Brooklyn, NY with a 9.4 lber. Steve Bar of Queens, NY took today’s Sea Bass pool by catching a 4.5 lber.

Wed Nov 18 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. Our first drop produced almost all Porgies as did the second drop. After we had our Porgy limit we headed further offshore in search of Sea Bass and found all the Sea Bass we needed on our first drift! What a day! We only had about 3 keeper Cod today but everyone had their limits of quality Porgies and Sea Bass up to 4.5lbs. Today’s pool winner was Koon Yung Au who landed himself a 2.5 lb Porgy.

Sun Nov 15 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. We started out a little slow with a steady pick of smaller Porgies than we like. We moved a few times and the bite improved every time.  Our last spot was the best of the day with nice big Porgies, good sized Sea Bass and at least a dozen nice size Cod on board. Terence Persaud of Brooklyn, NY won first place in the pool with a nice 3.6 pound Porgy. Esteban Aquasunas of the Bronx won the edible pool with a 10 lb Cod. Sun Nov 15 – Ultra LTD Blackfish and Sea Bass

Capt Steven Sr reports happy day for everyone on the Viking Star. A beautiful day on the water and a banner day fishing. The bite before the storm! Plenty of Blackfish, full limit for all the anglers on board. We stuck where we started the Blackfish ,Sea Bass, Cod and Porgy were all there. At least 75% of the anglers also got their limit of Knothead Sea Bass. Nice breeze made for a smooth ride home as well. David Gordon won both pools today. The winning Blackfish was 9.2 pounds and his winning Sea Bass was 3.7 lbs. Honorable mention to Frank Brown with a limit of Sea Bass and Blackfish and Walter Gilbert with his 4 Blackfish all between 6 and 9 lbs.

Sat Nov 14 – Ultra LTD Blackfish and Sea Bass

Capt Steven Sr reports that Black fishing on the Viking Starlite was pretty tough today due to the conditions. The strong moon tide made for some picky bites. We did have plenty of action, but caught  lots of shorts.  Amanda Cash was today’s pool winner after landing an 8.5lb Blackfish.

Sat Nov 14 – Local Cod and Sea Bass

Capt JR reports a good day of fishing, we headed into deeper water and found a nice shot of Cod on the Viking Star. We also had tons of Sea Bass come over the rails. The winner of the Cod pool was Robert Jordan of NJ who landed himself a 15lb Cod. The Sea Bass pool was won by Roman Reynos of the Bronx, NY with a jumbo 4.5 lb Sea Bass.

Sat Nov 14 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a day of good fishing aboard the Viking Starship. Despite the conditions fishing remained steady all day and we had a real mixed bag of Porgies, Sea Bass with a handful of Cod mixed in. Fishing is still good good good! Carlos Cuaudia of Astoria, NY won today’s Porgy pool with a nice 3lb Porgy. Carlos also won the edible pool by landing himself a nice 12 lb Cod.  We are sailing daily (weather permitting ) at 5am and the fare is $120. Nov 14 – Block Island SeaBass/Blackfish/Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports that we put together another great day of bottom fishing with some less than favorable conditions on the Viking Fivestar. All the sharpies on board had their limit of Tog and the couple other guys still managed 2-3 each. We also had a full load of Seabass up to 4 lbs and managed to pull out 15 keeper Cod at the end of the day. Capt Derek came out to fun fish for the day and had the first tog of the day at 10.1 lbs.
