Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports an excellent of fishing today aboard the Viking Star! Fishing was so good today, that we came back early because everyone had their fill. There was plenty of action! They bit steady all day, with the exception of a few piles of blues that came in, but we were on a new body of fish and had 99% keepers. We saw some smaller fish than we have been seeing, but still nice quality all around. We had porgies, blues and some sea bass (all released unharmed) in the mix.

1/2 Day Fishing Capt Carl reports decent action today on the 1/2 day trip. It started off slow, but it improved by the end. There was a good action with shorts and we had a fair amount of keepers. We also had a bunch of sea bass that were returned unharmed. There was a tie for the pool between Emerson Jones from Raleigh, NC and Danny Collins from Ronkonkoma, NY with 4 lb Fluke.

Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a slow night on the bass boat tonight but we did see more action in the dark on the eels than we have been seeing. We jigged during the daylight hours and caught some short bass, as well as some blues and some sea bass released unharmed. Once we switched to eels in the dark we found a couple better size fish in a new area. George Jehn took the pool with a 19 pound striped bass.
