Half Day Fluke AM Captain Joe reports a good morning aboard the Viking Star. It was a beautiful morning with good action all day. We also had some porgies in the mix. Everyone left with some nice fillets for dinner tonight. Pool winners to follow. Montauk Summer Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports and excellent day of porgy fishing today. Everyone had a nice mess of porgies and a few sea bass. We also had a couple of blues and a few keeper fluke. Today’s pool winner was Tony Sahid of Queens with a nice 3.5lb porgy. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Seabass Captain Dave reports a slow start to the day of fishing aboard the Viking Starship. There was a slow pick of Seabass up to 7.4 lbs. Then conditions got better and the Porgy fishing picked up and there ended up being a nice pick of porgies. 1/2 Day AM Captain Joey D reports that the fluke gods were with us today. We had good action with a mix of fluke, porgies and sea bass. The pool winner was Luke O’Connell from Harrison, NY with a 6lb fluke. Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Seabass Captain Dave reports that the first drift by the lighthouse was a little too fast so we moved to the beach and fishing was good. We finished up the day back at the lighthouse. The pool winner was Ramon Reynoso from Bronx, NY with a 3.2lb porgy.

1/2 Day Fluke AM Captain Sarah reports a great day of fluking aboard the the Viking Stariper with lots of action. There were three fluke over 5lbs. There was lots of sea-bass action too with a handful of large keepers. There was few porgies caught too to round off the morning. The first place pool winner was Roger Peterson from Tuckahoe NY with a nice 4.6lb fluke and second place went to Brendan from Staten Island with a 4lb fluke. 1/2 Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports a good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We started off catching some nice size porgies with some keeper fluke mixed in. Then the breezes picked up and the bite slowed a bit, but overall it was a good trip. The pool winner was Terri Coleman with a 4lb fluke. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Dave G reports a good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had a slow start at slack water with no drift. Once the tide picked up, the fish started to bite. We ended up with a mixed bag of sea bass, porgies and fluke. Pool winners to follow. 1/2 Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports a nice morning of half day fishing aboard the Viking Star. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Seabass Captain Dave reports a great day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The porgy fishing in particular was excellent, there was lots of nice sized, big ones caught. Seabass fishing was a bit tougher with lots of shorts, but everyone caught a few. There was also some fluke in the mix up to 8.3lbs.  Our first place pool winner was Ramy Saad from Oakbridge New Jersey with 4.2 lb porgy. Ramy also won second place in the pool with an 8.3lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies & Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another excellent day of fishing. We started out fishing for sea bass then moved on to the lighthouse and filled up the coolers with scup. The first place pool winner was Tony Fish from Brooklyn, NY with a 4.7lb porgy. The second place pool winner was Derrick Buchanan from Teaneck, NJ with a 5.2lb sea bass.

There was plenty of porgies caught, of mixed sizes. They then went looking for sea-bass and found some, everyone on board caught a few. The first place pool winner was Andreas from Jamaica, NY with a 3.5 lb porgy. The edible pool winner was Kyle Jones from Brooklyn, NY with a 4lb fluke.
