Half Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports that fishing started of a bit slow today. We did manage to put a nice catch together of keeper fluke sea bass and porgies. The pool winner was Mr Jason Golush from New York, NY with a 6.5lber. Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tougher day of fishing today. It started out good with a nice pick of fish. The wind and tide created a fast drift and the fishing slowed down. They anchored and had a nice pick of porgies and sea bass. Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. It was a little slower than normal because of the strong full moon tide, but we did manage to get some fish over the rail. We had some porgies, sea bass, 1 striped bass and a couple fluke. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Dave G reports a nice morning of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We started on the end of the flood tide and caught some nice keeper fluke. Then the sea bass and porgies started to bite. We ended up with a nice mixed bag. Today’s first place pool winner was 8 year old Spencer Murphy of Shoreham with a 5.1lb fluke and in second place was Martin Dowd of NTC with a 3.4lb sea bass. Block Island Behemoth Bass Captain Carl reports another absolutely spectacular night bass fishing trip! It took a little while for the tide to get right and we didn’t have a bite for the first 2 hours, but then it was game on! We had a sold out crowd aboard and everyone had a blast slaying moo cow linesiders. We ended up with another full boat limit of quality striped bass! Beautiful weather, a full moon, a happy crowd and a deck load of big bass made for one of those nights not to be forgotten! Tonight’s first place pool winner was Joe Welz of Smithtown with a 39.7lb striped bass and in second place was Jack Trinceri of Lindenhurst with a 37.2lb striped bass. Block Island Behemoth Bass Captain Carl reports EXCELLENT fishing tonight on the bass boat tonight! As soon as we arrived, it was on! Giant bass were eating the jigs veraciously and then once it got dark and they ate the eel just as good! We had a large crowd and a full boat limit one again. We also had a bonus fluke at 8.75lbs! This upcoming full moon really has the bass on the feed, so NOW is the time to come out and get some! George Johnson took the pool with a 30.15lb Moo Cow! . Block Island Behemoth Striped Bass Captain Carl reports an excellent night of bass fishing. We had to wait a little while for the tide to get going, but once it did it was game on! The bass weren’t quite the behemoth size we have been accustomed to catching, but they were still a nice size bass. They were all between 20-30lb class and plenty of them! We ended up catching our full boat limit! The first place pool winner was Joseph Stratmann of Sayville with a 30.55lb striped bass.
