Sun Nov 12 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started off again in the deeper water with some really good SeaBass action with good sized fish. We did see more action with the Porgies today, then we’ve been seeing. We worked around a few spots and SeaBass fishing stayed constant, with some medium to large sized Porgies and  1-2 keeper Cod mixed in. The first prize pool winner went to Pantelis Kounelias from New York with a 2.6 lb Porgy. We are sailing for our Block Island Porgies and SeaBass again tomorrow at 5am on the Viking Starship, the ticket office will be open at 4am.

Sun Nov 12 – Coxes Ledge Cod & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports another great trip to Cox’s Ledge onboard the Viking Star. Once again the sea bass fishing was extremely good with jumbo knot head SeaBass coming over the rail all trip. We had a few nicer cod in the mix along with some giant hub cap scups and big cunners to round out…

Sat Nov 11 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports FANTASTIC fishing on the Viking Starship! We started the day anchoring up in a few spots and it was Sea Bass City!! There weren’t may Porgies in the mix, so we made a few stops at the end of the day drifting and had mixed size Porgies and a few Cod along with some Mackerel. The pool winner was Lazaro Ortiz from Brooklyn, NY with a 2 lb Porgy. Tomorrow is the last day of the Veterans Day Weekend Special. Let us know you are a Veteran and we will take $25 off your ticket on the Viking Starship or Viking Star.

Sat Nov 11 – Blackfish & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports another good day on the Viking Star. We started the morning by concentrating on the Blackfish grounds and found even better action than yesterday. Guys that knew what they were doing had no problem boating their limit of nice Togs. We moved off to some deeper water and found lots of Knothead…

Fri Nov 10 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Starship. We started today off in the deeper water, kind of where we left off the other day and fell into some really nice SeaBass with  a mix of medium Porgies and a couple nice Cod fish. After a few drops we then worked in towards the island into the shallow water and had a really great pick of large sized Porgies and a few SeaBass in there as well. Our pool winner today went to Joe Rama from Newark, NJ with a 2 lb. Porgy. We will be running a Veteran’s Day Special this weekend for all active and retired military to receive $25 off a full day trip on the Viking Starship or Viking Star this Saturday Nov 11, and Sunday Nov 12!

Fri Nov 10 – Blackfish & Sea Bass

Capt JR reports a very productive day onboard the Viking Star. We started out on the Sea Bass grounds and found excellent fishing with knothead Bass coming up all around the boat. After we easily captured our limit of the jumbo biscuits we moved to the Blackfish zone and found the best bite we have…

Wed Nov 8 – Night Squid Jigging

Capt JR reports another productive night of squidding on the Viking Starlite. Right from the start the big tubes were biting quite well with double headers being pretty common. As the night went on the boat was surrounded by massive balls of bait that kept some of the squid busy and made the jig bite…

Wed Nov 8 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty good day of fishing on the Viking Starship. We started up close to island this morning and had a good pick of quality Porgies in there, but unfortunately we were chased out by the tide. When the tide starting running we did some exploring and dropped in a two spots…

Mon Nov 6 – Blackfish & Sea Bass

Capt Steven Sr. reports a good day of fishing on the Viking Star. Started off with a bumpy ride out, but well worth the ride. We had a solid hour and a half of jumbo SeaBass fishing, with an easy boat limit right off the bat. We then went to do some Black fish, which…
