Sun Sept 18 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a tougher day on the Viking Starship. The conditions were difficult with the wind making it rough out there. We made a bunch of moves to all of our usual spots and we had mostly Porgies today. It took some patience but everyone pretty much had their limits of nice size Porgies and a few Sea Bass each. Sea bassing was tougher today, but what we found were mostly keepers. We also had a couple of Cod. The first place pool winner was Juan Cautla from Bronx, NY with a 4 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Mr. Park from Bayside, NY with a 4 lb Sea Bass. There were no pictures today because of the conditions. We will be sailing again tomorrow at 5AM.
Sat Sept 17 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Capt JR reports another good trip on the Viking Star. It was a mixed bag of Fluke, Sea Bass and Porgies. The pool winner was Annie Ceruti from Bellmore, NY with a 3.3 lb Fluke. Unfortunately the trip is cancelled for the morning and we will see if we can get out in the afternoon.

Fri Sept 16 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship. In the deeper water we found a nice mix of large sized Porgies and Seabass. When we worked our way into the shallower water it was a bail job… Porgies and SeaBass coming up all around the boat. We did also pull up plenty of keeper Cod and a handful of keeper Fluke. The first place pool winner went to Derrick Buchana with a 3 lb Porgy from Teaneck, NJ. The edible pool winner went to Tung So from Brooklyn with a giant Cod fish.
Thurs Sept 15 – Block Island Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a good day on the Viking Starship. Fishing was tough to start with the windy conditions. We tried out a couple of spots and found a good mix of Porgies and Sea Bass. There were mostly large Porgies with keeper SeaBass. We also had a few Fluke, some Bluefish and 1 Cod. The first place pool winner was Lenny Owes from Brooklyn with a 3.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Noel Morris from Troy, NY with a 6.5 lb Bluefish.
Wed Sept 14 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports another good day fishing off Block Island on the Viking Starship. The bite was a bit slower than yesterday, but the fish we had were beauties. We had a nice load of big Porgies and some really nice SeaBass easily having our limit of. We also managed to snag a few keeper sized Fluke and Cod. The first place pool and only pool on the boat today went to Ifa Gordon from the Bronx with a tremendous 4 lb Porgy. We will sailing again tomorrow morning at 5am, don’t miss out!
Tues Sept 13 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Sun Sept 11- 1/2 Day Fishing AM
Capt JR reports a good morning of fishing today on the Viking Star. We had a nice pick of SeaBass and Porgies working around the Lighthouse, even a few keeper Fluke. Overall a very action filled trip. The first place pool winner went to Sunny Park from Deer Park, NY with a 3.5 lb SeaBass. The PM 1/2 Day fishing boat did not sail today.
