1/2 Day AM Captain Liam reports a lot of action this morning on the Viking Stariper. We had a few keepers along with some porgies and sea bass mixed in. The pool winner was Stephanie Blieka from Montauk, NY with a 4lb fluke. Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Seabass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing. We had nicer size fish today. We had more of the larger sized porgies and most had their limit of seabass. We also had a couple of fluke and striped bass. The first place pool winner was Pauel Gomez from Bronx, NY with a 3 1/2lb porgy. Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a pretty good night of Bass Fishing on the Viking Star. It took a while for the tide and conditions to get right, and once they did the big Stripers started biting! We caught well for about an hour with many quality moo cows coming over the rails until they shut down again. Bass Charter Captain Sarah reports a great morning of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. There was wonderful bunch on board. Though it was a bit windy the anglers were still able to hook and land some impressive Striped Bass. They also brought in a pair of big blues. Half Day Fluke PM Capt Dave G reports a great afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had difficult conditions with the wind against the tide, but we managed to catch really nice size fluke and sea bass. The pool winner was Bernie Reynolds of Babylon, NY with a nice 6.2lb fluke. Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Sarah reports that the sea bass were biting hard on the today on the full day boat. We had our limit of beautiful big sea bass with several over 5lbs. The fluke were a bit more picky, though we ended up with a decent amount. A fun time was had by all. 1/2 Day Fluke PM Captain Joe reports an excellent afternoon of fishing on the Viking Star. We had some nice sea bass and porgies in the mix as well as some really nice sized fluke. Looks like a new batch of fish is moving in! Today’s pool winner was Thomas Tana of Commack NY with a nice 6.2lb fluke. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Joe reports a great afternoon of fluke fishing! The fluke gods were with us this afternoon as young 11 year old Anthony McBride took the pool with a doormat fluke of 11.25lbs! Everyone else had their fill of fluke too, along with some sea bass and porgies. Montauk Lighthouse and Eco Tour Capt Sarah reports we had a great group out on the Eco tour today. We pulled our traps and looked at all the crabs we caught- lots of spider crabs and hermits today! We threw the dredger in the water and were able to examine different types of seaweed and micro organisms. The trip was rounded off with a nice ride past the lighthouse for some great pictures! Montauk Jumbo Porgies & Seabass Captain Dave reports a good trip this morning. We had a nice pile of medium to large size porgies caught on one drop. We also had some seabass, striped bass, bluefish and fluke. The highlight of the trip was the 4 foot Thresher Shark hooked and brought to the side of the boat!!The first place pool winner was Patrick Sarsfield from Connecticut with a 4.7lb fluke. Our first place pool winner was Joe Malanga from Delia Terrace, Clark, NJ, a member of RBAC fishing club with a 5.5lb fluke. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports the summer jumbos have moved out. We anchored up a bunch of times and managed to put together a nice catch- we had porgies, sea bass, some fluke, blues and a few striped bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Adam Saler of Brooklyn with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Phillip Clarke of Wyandanch with a nice 4lb sea bass. 1/2 Day Fluke AM Cap Dave G reports a great morning of fishing.
