Full Day Fluke Tuesday August 4th is cancelled due to Weather conditions. Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another great day on the porgies and sea bass ground you could not asked for a better day on the water we caught them up and even had time to go offshore a bit to catch up some nice Sea Bass in the mix we also had some nice keeper Fluke and 2 keeper Striped Bass the sea bass were up to 4lbs. Sunset Night Bass Jigging Trip Captain Stephen D reports we had beautiful conditions, yet it was tough fishing the fish all evening long just would not bite. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a very slow beginning this morning, but when they headed back to the lighthouse there was a nice mix of larger porgies and sea bass. Those that worked at it were rewarded. The first place pool winner was Christina Khan from Flushing, NY with a 3.75lb porgy. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slower than usual day on the Viking Starship. Fishing was a little tougher today, but we did get our share of porgies and sea bass. The first place pool winner was Bernard Niranja from Richmond Hill, Queens with a 2.5lb porgy. The second place winner with the largest edible was Moe Townes from Jersey City, NJ with a 4lb fluke. Night Striped Bass Full Moon Special Captain Carl reports that the Full Moon Blue Moon Block Island Behemoth trip lived up to the hype! We had steady fishing all night, even through slack tide, with most all the striped bass being XXL sized! We weighed a dozen fish over 44lbs! Gary “Big Fish” Young did it again, winning the pool with a 50lb 3oz behemoth! Richie Retzlaff from the Bronx took the second place pool with a 48lb 10oz moo cow, barley edging out another 48lb 6oz huge bass! Congrats everyone on all your trophies tonight! . Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports an excellent night on the bass boat! In fact, we were just 2 fish shy of a full boat limit! We had awesome steady fishing, and one drift alone got us 13 fish! It was controlled mayhem and everyone was happy! They were all nice sized moo cows! Donald J Kelly from Miller Place NY won the pool with a 37lb striped bass! Congrats! . Block Island Behemoth Night Striped Bass Captain Steven Jr reports a decent night of fishing. The action was slow but steady. It really picked up at the end of the night and all the fish were quality size. The first place pool winner was Yuanyong Xu of flushing with a nice 42.2lb striped bass and in second place was Scott Goldman of Bayside with a 38.7lb striped bass. . Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day aboard the Viking Starship today. It started out a bit slow, with the wind and tide moving fast, but once the conditions were right, we really hit them! We had a nice mix of porgies and sea bass and it made for a nice end of the day. Today’s first and second place pool winner was Felix Carvenas of Brooklyn with a 3lb porgy and a 5lb sea bass. 1/2 Day AM Captain Carl reports an absolutely fantastic morning half day trip. Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports another grind on the Viking Starship tonight. We found one here and one there, but the action was slow. We ended up with a handful of nice bass, but that was it. The biggest fish of the night was a 34lb 2oz bass, but was not in the pool.
