Thursday July 30th

Night Striped Bass
Captain Carl reports an excellent night on the bass boat! In fact, we were just 2 fish shy of a full boat limit! We had awesome steady fishing, and one drift alone got us 13 fish! It was controlled mayhem and everyone was happy! They were all nice sized moo cows! Donald J Kelly from Miller Place NY won the pool with a 37lb striped bass! Congrats!

Half Day Fluke PM
Captain Joey D reports the BEST afternoon of fluke fishing he has seen all season! We had both big fluke and big sea bass! Everyone went home happy with fish for dinner tonight. Today’s pool winner was Richard Colefield of Oakdale, NY with a big 5lb fluke.

Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Stephen Francis reports a good day full day fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We caught lots of fish, mostly big sea bass, the biggest we’ve seen yet, with a mix of some nice fluke. Everyone left with full coolers and smiles on their faces. Paul took the first place pool with a 4lb fluke and in second place was Aslan Kerisli with a JUMBO 4.8lb sea bass.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. It was steady action all day and we had a great mix of porgies, sea bass and some fluke. Today’s first place pool winner was Eddie McCrae of Wyndanch NY with a 2.75lb porgy and in second place was Reul Cunningham of Atlanta GA with a 4lb sea bass.

Half Day Fishing AM
Captain Joey D reports that we had excellent fishing on the morning fluke boat we had  lots off action and it was a regular aquarium today we had Fluke, Sea Bass and  Porgies. Our own Freddy  ”motor” Shea was high hook on the am trip. The pool winner was Mr Fabian Herrera from Clark, NJ with a 5.5lbs

John Viol Cod Fest
Captain Steven Jr reports a fantastic fishing trip on the Nantucket grounds. Starting with the first drop on day one, we had cod, haddock and pollack coming over the rails. They were hitting jigs , teasers and bait all day long. The largest edible fish on the boat was a 49.4lb Halibut caught by Anthony!  largest cod pool winner  was a 20lber caught by Captain JP . Overall it was a true Cod Fest . Captain Steven Jr, Captain Dave Geller, Jesse and Dylan would like to thank John Viol for putting the trip together with a great bunch of guys. Next years trip can’t get here soon enough!
