Fri July 23 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports an excellent trip this morning on the Viking Star. Sea bass and Porgies were coming over the rail from start to finish. We fished a couple rock piles at the end of the trip and picked some very nice KEEPER Fluke to top off the buckets. We even had our first trigger…

Thurs July 22 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt JR reports a slammer trip on the Viking Star this afternoon. We started out bending the rods with lots of Seabass and Porgies. As the tide eased off we drifted some rock piles for some nice Jumbo Seabass and a bunch of beautiful KEEPER Fluke. Lots and lots of action with full buckets. The first place pool winner was Joseph Connell from Babylon, NY with a 9 lb Fluke. The second place pool winner was Chloe Simunek from Port Jefferson, NY with a 5 lb Fluke.

Thurs July 22 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt JR reports that the bite was off slightly due to the approaching full moon. However, we had a decent pick of Seabass, Porgies and some Fluke all trip.    

Thurs July 22 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports good fishing on the Viking Starship. We started at the lighthouse with strong tide and wind, but the Porgy fishing was good. Offshore for SeaBass was slower than it has been. The fast drift made it difficult, but those that worked at it made out. We also had time for a deep drop and had Cod plus a load of Ling. Nikki Noel from Brooklyn, NY won both pools with a 3 lb Porgy and a 4 lb Fluke.

Wed July 21- 1/2 Day Fishing Trip PM

Capt Dave G reports a very good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Star. The fish bit from the beginning of the trip until the end. We ended up with a very nice catch of Seabass and Porgies. The pool winner was Fred Billings with a 4.25lb SeaBass.

Wed July 21-Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Seabass

Capt. Dave reports an excellent morning on the Porgy front. We caught tons of large to jumbo Porgies out by the lighthouse so we decided to go offshore for some Seabassing. Tue July 21 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt JR reports a very good trip with lots of action on the Viking Star. Giant Porgies and some Sea Bass were being harvested all trip long. There were also some Fluke to be had. Big bags of meat for all. The pool winner was Peter Magee from Smithtown, NY with a 3.75 lb SeaBass.

Tue July 20 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports a great day on the Viking Starship. We first went to the lighthouse where the Porgy fishing is holding up very good. After that we tried out a some new SeaBass grounds to the south. We had to pick through some smaller fish, but it was great. There were also about a 1/2 dozen quality keeper Fluke up to 7 lbs. Mr. Lee from NYC was the pool winner with a 2 3/4 lb Porgy.

Tues July 20- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt. JR report a spectacular morning on the Viking Star. Nonstop action all trip long with jumbo Porgies and Seabass flying over the rail from start to finish. Mon July 19 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass

Capt Dave reports another very good trip on the Viking Starship. Fishing at the lighthouse was lock and load with a mix of Jumbo, Large and Medium Porgies. It was slow to begin on the SeaBass grounds, but the last drift was very good with everyone getting their limit. There was not a pool today.

Mon July 19 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
