6th Annual Hungry Man
Great Trip !!
Trip started off with some fluking close to home and had a slow pick of fish, but some nice quality sized fish. Jose Ruiz was on fire on the fluke grounds catching his limit plus quickly taking the fluke pool with a 8.3lber. From there we headed offshore over night and were on the grounds just after light. The deep water started off with the first tile coming over the rail @30lbs, for chris link. The rest of the day we had steady action with a mix of tiles, hake cusk and some large pollock. The second day was all about the tiles, started off with a pick of small and medium tiles on the first couple drifts then we tried a new area and found the quality. most fish were around 10lbs and every drift we had at least 2 fish over 20lbs. By the end of the day everyone had a nice pile of tiles to round off the trip. Tile Pool Jon Ewert from Shirley, NY 36lbs, Edible Pool Michael Becker from Rockaway Beach, NY with a 24lb Pollock . Mr Scott woody and Michael Becker combined for 18 tiles and 6 over 25lbs for high hook. Fluke Pool Mr Jose Ruiz Brooklyn,NY with a 8.3lb he was also high hook on the fluke grounds. Mr Chris Link had 2 tile over 30lbs

New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports an okay day aboard the Viking Starship. We had some good action in the morning, but it slowed a bit in the afternoon. We did manage to get some meat over the rails and one small group of first timers had a few buckets full between them! There were also a few very nice sea bass in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Tanya Thompson Bridgetown, CT with a nice 3lb porgy.
