Half Day Fluke PM
Capt Ant reports despite the stiff east wind and rolly conditions, we had an excellent afternoon of fluke fishing! First place winner was Kevin Timony of Farmingville with a 4.7lb fluke. Freddy “Motor” Shea was high hook with 4 nice keepers, followed by Briggs Housten with 3 keepers and Angelo Demetroulakos with 2 keepers!
New Bedford Porgies and Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a bit of a slow day today aboard the Viking Starship. We didn’t have the best weather to work with today which made for a tough day. We did manage some fish and had some porgies and some sea bass. The first place pool winner was Henry Barnes of Brooklyn with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Sanivece with a 3.5lb sea bass.
Montauk Cherry Harbor Porgies
Capt Ant reports a decent day on the local grounds. The early bite was a bit slower than yesterday with dirty water from last nights storm. Once the weed cleared it was a solid bail for most and healthy sized scup at that. It slowed a bit mid morning and would come in waves as the wind picked up. Overall good fishing. Pool winner to follow.
