Saturday July 26

Jig &Eel Combo
Now for Saturday night 6p trip report. Mayhem, chaos, children screaming, anglers running, mates, galley wench and Captain sprinting and gaffing. It was awesome!!! We had 3 totally insane drifts that boated over close to 40 bass of the extra large size. We had a great crowd of anglers that wanted to learn and then apply their learnings to catch a trophy bass and they did. Young children, Moms, first-timers all worked together as we drifted through one of the biggest schools of stripers I’ve ever seen on the machine…the screen was red from bottom to the top and it was all bass. Here are the notables:
Brett Marshman 44lbs and another addition to our Moo Cownter as well as the pool
Tom T. and Chris Gainer each with 36lbers although Chris’s fish dipped lower on the balance beam to take 2nd place
Mike Marciano with a 35.6lber
Robert and Rocco Toppi each with 35lb twin moo cows.

Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass
Captain Carl reports a good day on the full day fluke trip. We had some pretty good fluking and sea bass, with some porgies in the mix also filling buckets. Ed Perry had his limit of fluke and Vinoo Gajadar had 7 keeps (ORL). Vinoo also cleaned house with a 7.2 pounder AND took the sea bass pool with a nice 4.3lb sea bass.

Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a bit of a slower day than usual due to the conditions. We still managed to put a nice catch together of some nice quality fish. We had poriges, plenty of nice sea bass and about a handful of fluke. Today’s first place pool winner was Ramon Reynoso of Brooklyn with a 4lb porgy and in second place was Obed Onloilnas from Manhattan 6lb bluefish.
