1/2 Day Fluke – AM
Capt Liam reports a very slow start, but when we moved to deeper water and it was good. We had fluke, sea bass, a lot of porgies and blue fish. Many went home with full buckets. The pool winner was Christos Maniatis from Brooklyn, NY with a 6lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Seabass
Capt Dave reports a much improved day. We had a slow and steady pick of mixed size porgies with larger sized fish today. We were fishing from the first to last drift. We had a handful of seabass and 8 keeper fluke. The first place pool winner was Ray Capri from Staten Island, NY with a 4.1 lb Jumbo Porgy. The second place pool winner was Quintin Justice from Landing, NJ with a 4.8lb fluke.

Sunset Striped Bass
Capt Dave reports a slow night on the Viking Star. We had a couple of bass caught in the beginning of the trip that were in the 20-25lb range, but then the tide slowed down and we didn’t have anymore keepers. We also had a few seabass.

Whale Watching
It was a long hot trip, cooler than on land, but hot none the less! We covered over 52 miles, searching inshore and several offshore feeding areas looking for the whales that had been reported 2 days ago in our usual spots. No luck. No whales, no dolphins, no turtles, a few birds and a few sharks.

Totals:
-5 wilson’s storm petrals
-2 corey’s shearwaters
-2 blue sharks
