Mon June 1 – Montauk Spring Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a pretty decent day of fishing today on the Viking Starlite. It is definitely starting to get lively out there as we saw some more species around today. Our first drop was our best drop was our best as we picked away for a couple hours and a decent body of fish medium to large sized until the seaweed started to roll in again. Our second drop was slower, but still productive with a whole new body of Porgies that seemed to have arrived a bit smaller than what we’ve been seeing in this body, but we had a few cocktail blues in the mix. No pool on the boat today with the small crowd, but some solid size Porgies in the mix. Definitely excited to see the new body of fish around. We are planning to sail again tomorrow at 5am, make sure to call ahead or book online to secure your spot on our Montauk Porgies and SeaBass.
