Fri Oct 2 – Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a tough trip on the Viking Starship. Up close to the island we were able to drift on the right tide. There was a mix of nice size Porgies and a lot of little Sea Bass. Once the flood started it quieted down. We headed offshore and had a handful of really nice Sea Bass with some Porgies mixed in. There were also some Mackerel mixed in. The first place pool winner was Jaquen Mendes from Bronx, NY with a 2.5 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner was Nichole Blake from Bronx, NY with a 4+ lb Sea Bass.
