1/2 Day Fishing-PM Capt Carl reports a lot of action this afternoon on the Viking Stariper, but we only had a few keepers. The pool winner for 1st and 2nd place was Jim Covell from Norwood, NJ with a 4 lb &  a 3.5 lb fluke!

Porgy Charter Capt Carl reports excellent porgy fishing on the Wallen charter this morning. Fishing was very, very, very good on the Viking Stariper!

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies Capt Dave reports a slower pick today, but it was steady. After is slowed a bit, we made a move and found a spot that kept us very busy until we needed to head back to the dock. We had a mixed size of porgies, along with some blue fish an a load of sea bass we returned unharmed. The winner of both the first place pool and edible pool was Bennington from North Babylon, NY with a 4 lb porgy.

Fri June 9

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports an excellent day of fishing aboard the Viking Star today. There were plenty of mixed size porgies as well as lots of blues which were slowing down the bite a bit. The bite was very strong in the morning bringing in some bigger sized porgies but we were still picking away some smaller fish in the afternoon. We caught lots of seabass too which were all released unharmed. The poolwinner was James Greenway from The Bronx with a nice 3lb Porgy.

Montauk Jumbo Lighthouse Porgies Capt Dave reports that is was a little bit slower today, but we put a decent catch together by making  a few moves. We had big-big fish to a mix of sizes. There were also two striped bass caught, 1 keeper fluke and some throw back sea bass. The pool winner was Rob Batt with a 4.3 lb porgy.

Wed June 7

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing today. We had a really good shot of fishing first thing in the morning. It slowed down a bit, but then picked back up for the afternoon. We picked away all day at really nice sized porgies and most of the fish coming up were keepers. Today’s pool winner was Cecil Belfon of Queens with a 4lb porgy.

Mon June 5

Montauk Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports an excellent of fishing today aboard the Viking Star! Fishing was so good today, that we came back early because everyone had their fill. There was plenty of action! They bit steady all day, with the exception of a few piles of blues that came in, but we were on a new body of fish and had 99% keepers. We saw some smaller fish than we have been seeing, but still nice quality all around. We had porgies, blues and some sea bass (all released unharmed) in the mix.
