Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports another SOLID night of bass fishing! It started slow with the very end of the flood tide and slack, but we marked them the whole time. Finally, the ebb tide started rolling and they started chewing! Drift after drift we saw more and more bass flying over the rails! We had a couple of blues in the mix too. All in all it was great fishing! Tonight’s first place winner was Joe Khamis of Westchester with a 39.8lb bass and in second place was William Massaro of Stony Brook with a 38.1lb striped bass. Full Day Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Sarah reports despite the pouring rain this morning, our hardcore full day fisherman and women were able to put together quite the catch! Many limited out on large sea bass and nice sized fluke. We also saw some porgies come over the rails. All in all a good day on the Stariper! Half Day Fluke PM Captain Dave G reports a very nice afternoon of fishing. We caught plenty of fluke, sea bass and porgies. And even a striped bass! Very pleasant conditions and a great afternoon on the water. Today’s first place pool winner was Joe Campbell of Lynbrook with a 4lb fluke. We had some really nice sized porgies with a handful of sea bass, a couple flukes and 1 keeper striped bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Jose Cruz of the Bronx with a 4lb porgy and in second place was Sargent McBride of Staten Island with a 9lb striped bass.

1/2 Day Fluke AM Captain Sarah reports we had a great morning of fishing with lots of action til the tide dropped out at the end of the trip. We had a lot of keeper fluke as well as plenty of beautiful sea bass. We also caught some monster sized porgies today. Night Striped Bass Capt Carl reports a pretty good night of Bass Fishing on the Viking Star. It took a while for the tide and conditions to get right, and once they did the big Stripers started biting! We caught well for about an hour with many quality moo cows coming over the rails until they shut down again. We had difficult conditions with the wind against the tide, but we managed to catch really nice size fluke and sea bass. The pool winner was Bernie Reynolds of Babylon, NY with a nice 6.2lb fluke.
