Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a very good day of fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. We had lots of nice sea bass up to 4.5lbs and lots of very nice sized porgies. Today’s first place pool winner was Mr Donald Moy of Queens with a nice 4lb porgy.Second Place Mr Kevin Barnes from Deer park, NY with a 5lb sea Bass

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an okay day today aboard the Viking Starship. We had quality over quantity today with BIG BIG fish. We had nice porgies and nice sea bass, along with some keeper cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Embley McPherson of East Orange NJ with a 3lb porgy and in second place was Melvie Casacola of Freeport with a 10.5lb cod. Half day Bass and Blues AM Capt Ant reports a great morning of jigging. Once again bass, blues and bonito the montauk grand slam. And once again jumbo scup rounded out the catch. beautiful weather, great jiggers and bounty of the greatest waters in the world. Saturday Sept 27
Night Striped Bass Eel Trip Capt Ant reports a Bass Crush last night. It took a bit to get going but when it did we hammered out 5-7 a drift. Mostly market size fish with a scattering of high 20s and low 30lbers. Jack Miov from Brighton Beach via the Ukraine took 2nd with a 31lber. First place was a 32. George jehn had 6 total to 30 and Jesus of the Elbow Jr had 4. Orl We are sailing promptly at 530p this evening and expect the same conditions as we are bailing fish on our am jig trip at the moment!!! Friday September 26
Behemoth Hunt Capt Ant reports slow going on last night Behemoth hunt. It started out great with two fish in the mid 30s right off the bat. Unfortunately our drift speed slowed to a crawl as the light northerly battled the last of the flood. Blues began chomping eels but that was it. We marked piles and piles but not a touch. Thursday Sept 25
Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day today. We had to fish the west side of the island to stay out of the weather and we were unable to fish the grounds we have normally been going to. We still managed a decent catch- we had plenty of sea bass and a mix of porgies. We also had a 10lb cod today.
Wednesday Sept 24
Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a bit of a slower day of fishing today. We had a strong east wind and it made it difficult for fishing. We still managed a decent catch of more quality fish. We had nice quality porgies and everyone had a few nice sea bass, just not as many as we have been getting. We also had a few blues and a couple cod. Today’s first place pool winner was Bill Wong of Woodbridge NJ with a 3.75lb porgy and in second place was Gabriel Polanco of Pomona NY with a 9lb bluefish.

Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Capt Dave reports we had some jumbo porgies coming over the rails today along with some nice sea bass and a few blue fish in the mix. The pool winner was Benny Li from Flushing,Queens with 4.5lbs porgy
Monday September 22nd
Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day fishing today aboard the Viking Starship. The action was good with the porgies a bit on the smaller side, and almost everyone had their limit of sea bass. There were also a few blues in the mix. Saturday September 20th
Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Capt Dave reports an ok day lots of sea bass and some nice mixed size porgies along with cod and some blue fish in the mix. The pool winner Billy Lin from Brooklyn, NY with a 3.5lb porgy Second Place Anton from Elmhurst, Queens with a 8lb Blue fish.
